Technician’s Note: If your current gauge is “sticking” or fails to return to zero when the gas is off, it’s time for a replacement. The 624 is a right-hand thread gauge, which is almost always used for the output (low pressure) side of the regulator. When installing, always use a small amount of PTFE thread tape (teflon tape) to ensure an airtight seal. Be careful not to over-tighten, as you could crack the regulator body; a snug fit with a wrench is all that’s required to prevent CO2 leaks.
