The Micro Matic 145SL is a high-specification Oetiker® stepless ear clamp, engineered to provide a permanent, 360-degree leak-proof seal for pressurized draft beverage and gas systems. Specifically sized at 14.5mm, this clamp is the industry standard for securing 3/16″ I.D. vinyl (PVC) tubing or 1/4″ I.D. polyethylene (poly) tubing to standard barbs. Unlike traditional worm-gear clamps that can cause “flat spots” or uneven pressure, the stepless design ensures uniform compression around the entire circumference of the hose. This is critical for preventing high-pressure CO2 leaks and maintaining the sanitary integrity of your draft lines in high-volume commercial environments.

Technician’s Note: The 14.5mm clamp is a “toolbox essential” for draft techs. It provides the perfect “bite” for 3/16″ vinyl beer lines, which are the most common lines used for system balancing. Because it is made of 304 Stainless Steel, it won’t rust or fail even if it’s constantly sprayed with water or cleaning chemicals. Remember: once these are crimped, they are permanent. If you need to remove one, use a pair of end-nippers or a specialized clamp cutter to snip the “ear.”
