The Lancer Lid for IBD22 is the sanitary protection component responsible for sealing the ice storage bin. Engineered from high-density, impact-resistant polycarbonate, it provide the thermal barrier necessary to keep cold air contained and prevent warm air ingress, which causes rapid ice melt and clumping.
Problem Solved: Restores thermal containment and ensures NSF compliance. Replaces lids that have become cracked, yellowed, or missing, ensuring the unit remains energy efficient and the ice remains loose for dispensing.
Symptoms of Failure: Visible cracks in the bin cover, warped edges that allow moisture ‘sweating’ on the machine exterior, or finding clumps of fused ice that won’t dispense due to warm air ingress.
Technician’s Note: Hand wash only with mild soap. High-temp commercial dishwashers will cause the polycarbonate to ‘craze’ (develop micro-fractures) and become brittle. Using genuine parts ensures a snug fit for the IBD22 frame.Technical Specifications:
