Brewery DIY Tip: Use a 1-7/8″ or 2″ step-drill bit to create a clean, burr-free hole in your kettle. Ensure the silicone washers are placed correctly—one on the inside and one on the outside of the vessel wall. Hand-tighten the internal nut, then finish with a 1/4 turn of a wrench. The 2″ TC flange provides a robust mounting point for heavy accessories while maintaining brewery sanitation standards.
