Description
El Dorado® is a high-alpha aroma hop famous for its intense candy-like fruitiness. These 8 oz hop pellets deliver powerful flavors of pineapple, pear, watermelon, and stone fruit. Often described as having a unique “fruit bowl” aroma, El Dorado is a favorite for New England IPAs, Hazies, and fruity summer ales. Despite its high alpha-acid content, it provides a remarkably smooth bitterness when used early, but it is best utilized in late additions to maximize its signature tropical profile.
Hop Master Tip: For the most intense “tropical candy” aroma, use El Dorado as a whirlpool addition at 170°F or as a primary dry hop. It pairs exceptionally well with Citra or Mosaic. These 8 oz packs are nitrogen-flushed and vacuum-sealed to preserve the delicate essential oils. Store in the freezer until ready for use.
