The 24″ x 24″ Drawstring Mesh Bag is a heavy-duty, versatile tool for brewing and food production. Made from high-quality, food-grade nylon with a fine mesh weave, it is ideal for “Brew-In-A-Bag” (BIAB) systems, straining fruit in winemaking, or containing large quantities of hops in the boil. The integrated drawstring closure ensures that ingredients stay contained during mashing or boiling, while the large dimensions easily accommodate 5-10 gallon batch grists.
Brewery Tip: When using for BIAB, ensures the bag does not touch the bottom of the kettle while the burner is on, as this can melt the nylon. Use a stainless steel rack or false bottom for protection. After use, rinse the bag thoroughly and turn it inside out to remove all grain or hop particles. It is machine washable, but avoid using scented detergents or fabric softeners.
