Technician’s Note: This is a common “step-up” fitting used when you need to run a larger 3/8″ gas or liquid line from a standard 1/4″ regulator port. When installing the 1/4″ MPT side, we recommend 2–3 wraps of PTFE thread tape to ensure a gas-tight seal. For the 3/8″ barb, use a 15.7mm Oetiker Stepless Clamp to prevent leaks under high-pressure surges.
