It is designed for use in finished, non-sugar-added spirits to ensures your final product meets your target strength. Constructed from high-clarity glass, it provides precise readings in standard laboratory environments.
Distiller’s Note: This meter is for spirits only and will not work for beer or wine; the residual sugars in fermented beverages prevent the meter from sinking properly. For the most accurate reading, ensures your sample is at the calibration temperature (typically 60°F or 68°F) or use a temperature correction table. Spin the meter gently in the liquid to dislodge any air bubbles before reading the meniscus.
