Technician’s Note: When installing the lid, check the hinge alignment and the condition of the lid gasket. A poor seal allows warm air to enter the chest, which can cause the cold plate to “sweat” and decrease cooling efficiency. Clean the lid surface with a mild sanitizer to prevent mold growth in the insulation gap.
